Is an Import License required to import goods?
While it is true that some items require import permits there is no such thing as a import licence.. There are certain products which do require import permits to enter into specific countries. Made in China sourcing staff will inform our members before they commit to any products production if that product requires a import permit. Some examples of products which require permits are biological items, cars, motorbikes and food.
What paperwork is required to export goods from China? Who fills in all the Customs paperwork?
If you are one of our members Made in China Sourcing staff will make sure the paperwork is correctly filled out for you r goods. If some items require a fumigation certificate we will ensure that this is done. Different countries require different things for different products.

What Taxes will I have to pay on the goods when I import them ?
Each Country has different taxes and duties it levies on products that are imported in from overseas
Here are some examples:
Australia
For any goods imported in to Australia you must pay 10% GST for any order over $1,000. The only time you don’t pay GST is when your individual order is of a value less than $1,000.
The duty charged on a particular product varies and usually ranges from 0-10%. Australian Customs department has a listing of all products and the duty levied for that product. Some products are exempt of duty. The general rate charged is usually about 5% and duties and GST are paid once your goods arrive in to Australia.
United Kingdom
For any goods imported in to the United Kingdom you must pay 20% VAT on the cost of your goods from the supplier The duty charged on a particular product varies and usually ranges from 0-10%. The UK has a listing of all products and the duty levied for that product. VAT and duties are paid once your goods arrive in to the UK.
USA
For any goods you import in to the USA you must pay 20% on the cost of your goods from the supplier The duty charged on a particular product varies from product to product and usually ranges from 0-10%. The USA has a complete listing of all products and the duty levied for that product. duties are paid once your goods arrive in to the USA
