Many people go to China and focus on the price of an item and completely forget to ensure that the quality of the item is up to standard.
China can manufacture items to a price but quality can suffer. When it comes at purchasing products form China quality is the most important thing you should focus on . Quality control is the best way to make sure you do not end up with products that are below standard and therefore cannot be sold.

There are a few important tips to consider when buying from China:
- The suppliers in house quality control system has a vested interest in passing product rather than rejecting it. DO NOT RELY ON IN HOUSE QUALITY CONTROL
- Make sure the suppliers is aware that you have a regular audit system in place and you will inspect the goods at various times during the production process.
- Let the supplier know you have an independent company coming to oversee and check the quality of the products and that that company is located nearby to them..
- Be cautious and clear in your requests for products and make sure the specifications are written in Chinese and English contracts.
- Make sure the goods are correct before they leave the factory … Once they arrive at your door, its too late to complain about any quality issues.
What are Made in China Sourcing’s Quality Control procedures?
The number one rule Made in China sourcing staff follow is … If it’s not inspected it is not to be exported. All goods exported by Made in China Sourcing will be inspected with a basic quality control inspection where relevant things are checked on your produced goods and these things can me negotiated with you prior to the inspection. We have different levels of quality control depending on our member’s requirements and the products involved. We offer several levels of service.
Levels of Quality Control
Level One quality control
A made in China Sourcing staff member will visit the factory and inspect the goods and compare them to the sample. They will take photos of the products and also any pre instructed features of the product as instructed by the client will be closely inspected. If the goods are small a random selection of the produced goods will be sent to the end client via international courier. So that the end client can also check the products in person.
Cost for this service
Free for orders over $25,000 that were arranged by Made in China Sourcing on your behalf. Note costs of any international courier charges for the samples selected at the inspection and sent on to the client is on charged at cost to the end client.
For order under $25,000 the cost is $190 plus local travel costs
Level Two quality control
A made in China Sourcing staff member will visit the factory and inspect the components or materials before the goods are assembled and they will take photos of the products and also any pre instructed features of the product as instructed by the client will be closely inspected. If the components are small a random selection of the components will be sent to the end client via international courier. In this way the end client can also check the components in person. This early production inspection allows you to detect potential problems quickly.
A second inspection is made by a made in China Sourcing staff member when the goods production is finished and we will inspect the goods and compare them to the sample. They will take photos of the products and also any pre instructed features of the product as instructed by the client will be closely inspected. If the goods are small a random selection of the produced goods will be sent to the end client via international courier. So that the end client can also check the products in person

Free for orders over $40,000 that were arranged by Made in China Sourcing on your behalf. Note costs of any international courier charges for the samples selected at the inspection and sent on to the client is on charged at cost to the end client.
Additional Inspections can be requested at any time cost is $190 plus local travel costs
Level Three quality control
The same 2 inspections are carried out as per a level 2 quality control inspection. That is the pre assembly inspection and the post production inspection. For this level of quality control we will take a sample along to a reputable testing laboratory for testing to check it passes the appropriate tests to meet the standards required for that product in the country that the goods will be exported to. The client will need to define what tests are required. Made in China sourcing staff can works in conjunction with a network of laboratories and technical engineers who can take care of just about any product testing or quality control request you have. Costs for this service are based on the tests you require and they are quoted prior to the tests being done.
